MaxLove Project’s Farm Walk for Childhood Cancer

04.27.22

MaxLove Project is teaming up with Tanaka Farms in Irvine for an inaugural Farm Walk for Childhood Cancer! With a gorgeous landscape, cooking demo, kid activities, and even an Ohana Luau dinner, you’ll enjoy a full day of fun for the entire family!

Join MaxLove Project at Tanaka Farms on Sunday, May 1st from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. and help them continue their goal of ensuring every family facing childhood cancer or a pediatric rare disease diagnosis is equipped with the tools to thrive in treatment and beyond by attending the Farm Walk for Childhood Cancer! Buy a ticket to attend as an individual walker or family or create a fundraising team and you’ll enjoy a leisurely afternoon stroll through Tanaka Farms and gather fresh produce at the height of the spring season with a special MaxLove x Tanaka tote bag.

Chef Andrew Johnson of Kitchen Curative and MaxLove’s Fierce Foods Academy are collaborating to bring you a tasty cooking demo featuring the fresh fruits and vegetables displayed throughout your walk. This event brings something for every member of your family as your youngsters are invited to visit the barnyard and immerse in a game area for some kid-friendly activities.

In honor and memory of a SuperKid and SuperSibs, MaxLove Project is providing an opportunity to plant a sunflower in a flowerbed area to highlight kids and their siblings who have been affected by a childhood cancer diagnosis. For those who cannot attend the Farm Walk, you can sponsor a Sunflower for Team MaxLove to plant in honor or memory of a SuperKid fighting childhood cancer.

To cap off the event, The Gold Apron Society chef team, Chef Cathy McKnight, and Electric City Butcher’s Chef Michael Puglisi, are preparing a beautiful Ohana Luau dinner highlighting the season’s freshest ingredients. So, put on your comfiest footwear and gear up for a lovely spring evening in benefit of MaxLove Project.

The Ohana Luau Dinner requires a separate registration and tickets can be purchased at the link below.
